Register an app
Tell Corpland ID about your app's callback, origins and sign out address.
Every app that signs people in needs a client record. Register one per app and per environment from the ID server folder.
cd corpland-id/server
node scripts/registerClient.js \
--client-id corpland-content \
--name "Corpland Content" \
--redirect http://localhost:3320/auth/callback \
--origin http://localhost:3320 \
--post-logout http://localhost:3320/ \
--homepage http://localhost:3320 \
--logo https://res.cloudinary.com/.../content.png| Flag | Meaning |
|---|---|
--client-id | Stable id you put in client_id. Lowercase, no spaces. |
--name | Shown as "Continue to" and your app name on the hosted pages |
--redirect | A callback address. Repeat for several. Matched exactly. |
--origin | A browser origin allowed to call the ID API (CORS). Repeat for several. |
--post-logout | Where /sign-out may send people afterwards. Repeat for several. |
--logo, --homepage | Optional branding |
--replace | Replace the lists instead of adding to them |
The script is idempotent, so running it again updates the record. New origins reach CORS within a minute, without a restart.
Production checklist
- Register the production client against the production database, with
httpsaddresses only. - Never register
localhostaddresses on the production client. - Deploy Corpland ID before the app that depends on it.
